MONSTER

We knew a quiet land the future in our hands like promise  but he’d been ready for some time  just waiting for the sun to rise

Now I see this barren place one small man a smiling face after his game of pain
This was not a masterplan we never need to understand but now you’ve made your claim for fame

Who saw the silent man hiding in our land like a monster
Now empty eyes and fevered needs are waiting for that final breeze

Lay there quiet on the ground they never even heard the sound as echoes faded all around

And would you like to be the star of evil ways well you are
And they never saw your face
And fell into waves and slowly disappeared

Who saw the silent man hiding in our land like a monster
Now words and sounds in tall green trees are waiting for that final breeze
